Face Series
[COLLAGE]
This collage series was inspired by the work of John Stezaker, particularly his method of recontextualizing found imagery through precise, scalpel-cut interventions. Drawing on classical portraits, including works by Botticelli, I explored how existing art can be transformed to create new narratives and emotional depth.
By layering and fragmenting faces, I aimed to disrupt traditional representations of identity and beauty. The tension between the historical and the contemporary is a key element of the work, encouraging the viewer to question the boundaries of authorship, time, and visual coherence. This process allowed me to engage critically with art history while developing my own visual language.

Bringing Bubbles Back
[Acrylic pigment and bubble solution on paper.]
This piece was inspired by my experience as an early years teacher, where play and exploration are at the heart of learning. I began by experimenting with a variety of materials and mediums. Working with acrylic pigments and unconventional tools such as bubbles, challenged me creatively and allowed for a sense of spontaneity and discovery.
Influenced by Jackson Pollock’s action painting, I embraced the unpredictable nature of the process. The bursts of colour from bubbles popping mid-air created organic splatters and marks, capturing both motion and playfulness. Using a large roll of paper helped amplify the energy and fluidity of the work, resulting in a final piece that celebrates freedom, experimentation, and the joy of artistic risk-taking.

Self Portrait Series
[Photography]
This photography series is a visual exploration of self and emotion. Using light, composition, and expression, I capture different sides of my identity — from vulnerability and introspection to strength and transformation. Each image stands as a moment of reflection, offering a glimpse into my personal journey and how I connect with the world around me.

Textures of Our Lives
[Mixed Media on MDF]
This interactive installation invited participants to explore memory and emotion through the sense of touch. The work consists of 40 textured panels, each with a distinct surface, ranging from soft and smooth to rough and jagged, designed to evoke different feelings and associations.
Viewers were encouraged to engage with each panel through touch and then select ten that best represented their own life journey. These chosen textures were then hung up as a personal expression of their story, creating a constantly evolving collective display. The piece challenges traditional visual-centric art experiences by prioritising tactile interaction, emphasizing that our lives are shaped not only by what we see, but by what we feel, physically and emotionally.
