Hi and welcome! I’m so excited to be writing my very first blog post here on Crafted by Caitlin. I’m Caitlin, a mixed media fine artist based in Surrey, currently studying for a BA (Hons) in Fine Art. This space is where I’ll be sharing thoughts behind my work, creative updates, and the journey I’m on as both an artist and a student.

A big moment for me recently has been being awarded the Rise Funding for Young Creatives, which is supporting my practice in incredible ways. With this funding, I’ve been able to invest in tools and materials to deepen my exploration of texture, form, and the relationship between 2D and 3D art.

Art has always been how I make sense of my emotions and connect with the world. Through this blog, I hope to give you an honest look into my process — the experiments, the learning curves, the breakthroughs, and the joy of creating.
